Hey guys! So, I’m just sharing some photos from my Savannah trip with my family we did last summer. It was a short, yet fun trip we always drove through the state but never stopped to take a look. We spent time in Jekyll Island and Savannah Georgia Historic District. We did a lot of driving, but we really enjoyed the breathtaking scenery at every turn. I was in awe and left with my mouth hanging open many times. Several times I put my camera down and just enjoyed the stunning views, because the photos didn’t come close to capturing what we were truly witnessing.
I’d return to Savannah in a heartbeat! There is just so much to see and do. Next time I visit, I’m hoping for a longer trip where we can do some hiking, try some more delicious food and true adventuring.
At Wormsloe Plantation – Look at those Trees! Can you guys Tell me, how did they get the trees so perfectly in line with one another to form this beautiful drive way? It’s so magical to drive through. How crazy is it to be in awe of trees! Plus if you are a Forrest Gump fan this is the place to be!
A little history about the plantation, what was grown there, and the family the land was being passed down through the generations.
Forsyth Park; one of the most beautiful fountains I’ve seen. it was very refreshing to have the cool mist of water on my skin. Savannah is HOT!!
I saw a Squirrel 🙂
Savannah Homes are so Beautiful I love the Southern Charm.
Wormsloe Plantation again, the gate entrance.
This cute cabin is the office where you purchase your tickets before you go any further onto the grounds.
I believe this is the owner final resting place.
The beautiful marshland you see in all those southern romantic movies, like A Walk to Remember, Last Song and The Notebook to name a few.
Black Smith station
We renting a car as we did a lot of driving, but I really enjoyed the car ride as it’s a great way to spend with family, and the time goes by when there is good conversation, great music and scenery.
Jekyll Island is Daunting; we even got to see a Deer and her baby, as Jekyll Island is known for Deer spotting.
“Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re going to get.” – Forrest Gump
There is so many more beautiful places to see in Savannah Georgia, and I will definitely be returning to see what else she has to offer!
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
